New Editor | Mark Hughes, coordinating editor for taxonomy and systematics

NJB welcomes Mark Hughes as a coordinating editor!

Mark Hughes is a new coordinating editor for taxonomy and systematics.

Mark is the leader of Southeast Asian biodiversity science at the RBGE, working on using floristic and specimen-linked data to understand broad scale patterns of diversity in the region and support its conservation. He also researches the systematics of Begoniaceae and Memecylaceae, working on species discovery and revision, and biogeography and he is a taxonomic expert for the World Flora Online.

At NJB, Mark will contribute his expertise to help us develop the scope and formatting of taxonomy articles. And perhaps he will even handle the one or other Begonia manuscript for us!

Nordic Journal of Botany—who are we?

NORDIC JOURNAL OF BOTANY: An International Journal for Botany and Mycology is an Open Access journal owned by the Nordic Society Oikos.

We are an international journal publishing research on all aspects of plant and fungal ecology, evolution, conservation, biogeography, and taxonomy. We welcome cross-disciplinary research such as plant-pollinator interactions, human-plant relations, and plant-ecosystem connections. Our scope includes algae and bryophytes and all groups of fungi. We explore trending topics in plant sciences and publish research from both established experts and early-career researchers.

Thinking about publishing with us?
