*New Editor | Robert Björk, subject editor in plant ecology
We welcome Robert Björk onto the NJB editorial board as our new Subject Editor in (arctic) plant ecology! You can read about his background below and more about his research here: https://www.gu.se/en/about/find-staff/robertbjork
"I am a professor in Ecosystem Science at the University of Gothenburg, with a keen interest in the coupling between biodiversity and ecosystem processes. My research spans from plant community dynamics to greenhouse gas fluxes, focusing primarily on herbivory-plant-soil interactions. I explore the linkages in the rhizosphere between ecosystem structure (including plants, mycorrhizal fungi, and soil microbes) and functioning. My objective is to increase our understanding of how Arctic ecosystems will respond to and affect climate change."

Nordic Journal of Botany is an international Open Access journal, proudly owned by the Nordic Society Oikos. We publish research on plant and fungal ecology, evolution, conservation, biogeography, and taxonomy, and we welcome cross-disciplinary research such as human-plant relations. We explore trending topics in plant sciences and publish research from both established experts and early-career researchers. Learn more about NJB.
